TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky (TOUR SEKY), based in Somerset, KY, announces the release of an exciting new tourism guidebook designed to increase awareness of adventure tourism opportunities both for those who live in the region and those who are traveling from far away.
“We want people who live in the region to know there is a lot of adventure right in their own backyards, and we want everyone to know that Southern and Eastern Kentucky has a lot to offer,” said Jeff Crowe, President and CEO of TOUR SEKY. “Reduced family funds don't have to mean reduced fun. Even families who think they can't take an extended family vacation can find lots of affordable adventures within a day's drive.”
Page after page of engaging, high impact photography shows the real essence of the best Southern and Eastern Kentucky has to offer. Working closely with the TOUR SEKY staff, Somerset firm Kirby Stephens Design designed the publication to be a bold and exciting invitation to experience the adventures of the region.
This free tourism guide focuses on five main areas of Adventure — Outdoors, Music, Agriculture, History, and Arts & Crafts. Also, the guidebook offers adventure maps and potential itineraries for the casual traveler.
This edition uses a different approach from past guidebooks. “The new book is not a listing of everything you can do, but rather it's a big invitation to come join the fun and adventure in Southern and Eastern Kentucky. And, we invite travelers to explore our website for details of attractions in the region,” said Crowe.
